Clare Patricia Miller

Clare H Miller passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on June 2, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Miller are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in the Chapel of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be Private. Born July 18, 1921, Clare was the daughter of George and Olga Hodson of Brooklyn, NY. She attended Rosemont College, PA earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. Clare married Gilbert J. Guille on August 3, 1943 and settled on Long Island, NY to raise a family. After his death, Clare become the Director of Volunteer Services for Nassau Hospital, Mineola, NY while earning a Master of Adult Education degree from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Upon retirement, Clare moved to Seabrook Island, and married Donald A Miller of Seabrook Island and Cleveland, OH, on August 16, 1997. She enjoyed golf, traveling and gourmet cooking with friends and family. Clare is survived by her husband, Donald A Miller; her son, G. James (& Barbara) Guille of Dataw Island, SC; three daughters, Jane (& Walter) Blum, of Dillon, SC, Joan (&Dirk) Olson of Rio, WI and Rita and Richard Grayson of Cumming, GA, along with many grand and great grandchildren.
