Clare Howard

Clare Kamradt Howard, 93, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 2, 2025. Clare was born in Chicago, Illinois May 23, 1932 to Clara B. Grzenia and Paul Kamradt. Clare retired from civil service having worked 30 years at The Customs House, Charleston, SC. She was also a faithful member of Church of the Nativity on James Island.

Clare was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings, Genevieve, Richard, Joseph, and Alfred, her husband, George S. Howard,Jr., her son, Bruce E. Fox Howard, and Bruce's father, Melvin M. Fox. She is survived by Bruce's widow, Michelle, and their children, Kaitlyn (Lindsay Newman), Evan, and Keith (Emily Kirby).

The family sincerely thanks the staff and nurses at The Palmettos of Charleston. For ten years, they provided Clare kind and compassionate care.

Relatives and friends of Clare K. Howard are invited to attend the full Rite of Committal 1:00 pm,Thursday, November 6, 2025 Holy Cross Mausoleum, 604 Fort Johnson Road, James Island, SC. The service will be presided by Deacon Curt Herbst.

The family respectfully requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you be a participant in an act of kindness in Clare's honor.
