Christopher Alvin Elsey, 38, of Daniel Island, SC, the husband of Elizabeth Michelle (Burris) Elsey, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Chris was born in Charleston, SC on September 6, 1972, a son of Amaryllis (Dawsey) Elsey and Irvin Wilson Elsey, Sr. Chris faithfuly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and was the owner of Elsey's Auto Sales. Chris was a man that truly loved his family. He gave of himself always for Ryan, Nathaniel and Elizabeth. His family's well being was always first in his thoughts. He was a man that loved being on the ocean fishing with his friends and riding his Big Dog Motorcycle. Chris is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Elizabeth M. Elsey; two sons, Ryan Christopher Elsey and Nathaniel Cole Elsey; his parents, Amaryllis D. Elsey and Irvin W. Elsey, Sr.; four brothers, Irvin W. Elsey, Jr. (Dolores), John Robert Elsey (Karen), Mark Allen Elsey, Sr. (Peggy) and Ted Ronald Elsey (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The relatives and friends of Christopher A. Elsey are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the James A. McAlister Chapel at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 9, 2011. The burial will be held in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Charleston from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Arrangements are by JAMES A. MCALISTER Funerals & Cremation, (843) 766-1365.
