Christine Lynn Cook Rice

Christine Lynn Cook Rice, 61, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Her Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 6:00 PM, Friday December 15, 2023 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway,  Charleston.

In loving memory of Christine Lynn Rice, a devoted mother, survived by her sons, Sean Christopher Samisch and Clark Hillel Samisch.

Christine was the daughter of Sarah Ida Cook and the late Lt. Gen. Ernest Troy Cook, Jr. She cherished family deeply. Christine, a Marymount Catholic University graduate and dedicated nurse, transitioned to a fulfilling retirement, where her unwavering love and devotion became a cornerstone of her life as a daughter and caregiver to her mother.

Christine's compassion extended to the animal kingdom, where her love for animals, especially her loyal companion Maggie, added an extra layer of warmth to her life. When caring for loved ones, Christine exemplified a spirit of devotion and passion unmatched by most. She is remembered with love by her living brothers, Ernest Troy Cook III and Jeffrey Glenn Cook and is joined in spirit with her late sister, Teresa Christine Cook.

Christine’s legacy is one of compassion, family and love. May she rest in eternal peace.
