Charles George Koci, 64, of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Charlie was born in New York, NY on May 30, 1949, the son of Charles and Anne Koci. Because of his success as President of Electronic Merchant Systems, Charleston, he gave back to the community he loved. He was the founder of the Ronald McDonald Golf Tournament, supporting Charleston's Ronald McDonald House. Charlie retired seven years ago to enjoy his passions for family, golf, fast cars, and his beloved dogs Bogie, Birdie and Hogan. He was an active member and friend of The Links at Stono Ferry Country Club and had a great love for his country, serving in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam. He will be missed but definitely not forgotten. Charlie is survived by his wife Cathy A. Koci, and his sons, Michael J. Werner and Brian K. Werner. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Koci are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 3:00 PM, Friday, June 21, 2013, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway.
