Charles A. Forsberg, Jr. entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2015 after a brief illness. The relatives and friends of Mr. Charles A. Forsberg, Jr. are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Thursday December 3, 2015 at the Catholic Church of the Nativity. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:45 PM at theJames A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.He was born in Charleston on February 13, 1923. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Anne Clair Forsberg. The son of Charles A. Forsberg and Martha Matilda Lloyd Forsberg, he attended Mitchell School and Murray Vocational High School. He joined the Navy at age 17 just prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor and survived the sinking of the USS Quincy off Guadalcanal. He worked in the gas department of SCE&G Co. for 38 years where he made numerous friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all his family. He had a very quick wit and in his latter years, his wit was without a governor. He is survived by his children: Charles A. Forsberg (Rose), Daniel C. Forsberg (Maureen), JoAnne F. Sisnroy (Bob), Dennis J. Forsberg (Ann Marie), Mary F. Hughes (Douglas) and Patricia F. Forbes; his grandchildren: Dawn S. Althen, C. Jeffrey Forsberg, Lori S. Schrecker (Michael), Jason M. Forsberg, Jessica F. Sanyi (Jim), Ashley T. Unrue (Wes), Natalie C. Forsberg, C. Elise Forsberg, Clair M. Forsberg, Maura C. Forsberg, and Ryan D. Hughes; his great-grandchildren: Shane E. Windham, Caroline B. Windham, Madeline (Ella) Schrecker, Charles A. Schrecker, Ansley E. Unrue, and Colton J.
