North Charleston, SC Mr. Charles Raymond Cooper Sr., 88, of North Charleston, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013. A native of Conway, SC, he was a son of the late Bryant and Ida N. Cooper. A veteran of the second World War, he served his country with honor as a Private First Class in the US Army. After WWII, he enlisted in the US Army Reserves. He worked for and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard, where he served as an Engineering Technician. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Rosa B. Cooper, 4 children: Teresa E. Cooper, Russell B. Cooper and wife Patty, Christopher R. Cooper, and Jeannine C. Wagner and husband Leonard, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The relatives and friends of Charles R. Cooper Sr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM Friday, April 5, 2013, from the Graveside at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the Rite of Committal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John Catholic Church, 3921 St. John's Ave., N. Charleston, SC 29405.
