Charles Leon Cone, Sr.

Charles Leon Cone, Sr., 88, of Charleston, the husband of Dorothy Delk Cone, died Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Heartland of West Ashley. Mr. Cone was born in Fairfax, SC, the son of Emmett Cone and Maude Wise Cone on May 28, 1921. He was a retired Electrician at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and served our country in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Cone is survived by his wife of 62 years; a son, Lee Cone (Nancy) of Ravenel; a daughter, Annette Rohling (Carl) of Charleston; two grandsons, Rhett Craven and Cooper Craven (Samantha) both of Charleston and two sisters, Betty Ruth Gatlin and Hazel Baxter. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The relatives and friends of Charles L. Cone, Sr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00 am, Friday, August 14, 2009 at the graveside in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.
