Charles Robert (Chuck) Aydlette, Sr. husband of Janet Shepard Aydlette of Charleston, SC passed away January 1, 2021, in Mt. Pleasant.
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Aydlette, Sr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 3:00 PM, Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Christ Church, 2304 Hwy. 17 North, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will follow in the Churchyard.
Chuck was born November 28, 1941, in Charleston, the son of the late Derwood L Aydlette and Emma Stebner Aydlette.
He graduated St. Andrews High School's class of 1959 and enlisted in the US Coast Guard in service to his country. Chuck served on shore stations as well as at sea. In 1969, he became a Realtor in Mt. Pleasant and helped families find their next homes for fifty years. He was a member of The Exchange Club of Charleston and attended Christ Church Anglican in Mt. Pleasant. Chuck frequently visited the sick in local hospitals and nursing homes with his church visitation team. He loved playing golf, playing drums in several local bands and acting as a caregiver for his wife. Chuck had a wonderful, carefree sense of humor that would make everyone around him laugh. He loved to read his bible out loud with his wife every day.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Derwood, Ronald and sister, Martha.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Janet S. Aydlette; his sons: Charles Aydlette, Jr. and his wife, Heather, John Aydlette and Richard Aydlette; his granddaughters: Catherine, Elizabeth and Lydia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
