Carolyn Harrison Laney

Carolyn Harrison Laney, 81, of Varnville and Charleston, SC, died on Thursday, March 7, 2019.

Carolyn was born on December 11, 1937, in Columbia, SC to Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Harrison.  Her husband, George T. Laney and her son-in-law, John P. Zervos, precede her in death.

Carolyn graduated from University of South Carolina in 1959 and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. She is a current member of St. Philip's Church in Charleston and a former member of United Methodist Church in Hampton. Her graciousness and quick wit made her a favorite with people of all ages.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Laney Zervos and Susan Elizabeth Laney; two grandchildren, Peter William Zervos II and Carolyn Laney Zervos; and a niece Katherine “Kathy” Whetstone Stowe.
