Carly Donohue, of Mount Pleasant, SC, died in an amphibious aircraft accident on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, she was 27 years old. She was born Cara Lee Donohue, known as Carly in Cincinnati, Ohio on Wednesday, August 10, 1983, a daughter of Deborah A. Hitchcock Eye and James W. Donohue. She was a graduate of the University of Louisville and worked as a First Mate on the Osprey, a charter boat that sails out of Sullivan's Island, SC. Carly will forever be known as a free spirit who loved her life, friends and mostly her family. She is survived by her parents, Deborah A. Eye and James W. Donohue; a brother, Andrew J. Donohue (Tania); a sister, Jessica M. Capasso (Charlie); her step mother, Debi Donohue; her step father, Jack Eye; a step brother, Paul J. Hertweck (Lisa) and her niece and nephew, Lyric and Ian Hertweck. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, this Sunday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. The relatives and friends of Cara "Carly" Lee Donohue are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 25, 2011 at the James A. McAlister Chapel. The burial will be held privately. A memorial service to celebrate Carly's life will be held in Louisville, KY at a time and date to be announced later.
