Juanita (Nita) Bendt Driggers, 92, of Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest with her heavenly Father on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at The Hospice Center of Mt. Pleasant. The family will receive friends between 5:00 & 7:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1695 Wallenberg Blvd. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. Nita was born on August 25, 1920 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of William Franklin Bendt and Marie Antoinette Seabrook Bendt. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Coleman M. Driggers, Sr., her brother Harold Bendt, and sister Caroline B. Miller. Left to cherish her memory are four children: Butch Driggers of Charleston, SC; Dianne Jones of Columbia, TN; Jackie Driggers of Charleston, SC and Linda Evans of Goose Creek, SC; a daughter-in-law Gail Driggers; her brother William (Buddy) Bendt; sister-in-law Dorothy (Dot) Bendt; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren. Nita enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and most of all a good game of Bingo! The family wishes to thank the staff of The Hospice Center of Mt. Pleasant for their support and devoted care. Flowers will be accepted.
