Brigid Teresa Neary

Brigid Teresa Neary (“Bridie”) was born on January 9, 2022, amid the loving care of her doctors and nurses since the diagnosis of her heart defect 4 months prior. She died peacefully in the arms of her parents on January 19, 2022.

Bridie has been an indescribable light to everyone she impacted from the time we learned of her existence in May. Her inspiration drew demonstrations of God’s love from countless people and allowed us to witness joy in her presence, the generosity and gentleness of those who cared for her and the faith that the impact of her life will continue to bring about goodness beyond what we can understand.

We miss her so deeply; we will forever be grateful for the tremendous gift of her life and know the power of her saintly intercession for us for eternity.

Because of our certainty that she is in heaven, a Mass for All Saints will take place for Bridie at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist in Charleston, South Carolina at Noon on Monday, January 24, 2022.  The Rosary will be recited at 11:30 AM at the church. The Rite of Committal will take place at St. Lawrence Cemetery. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, please donate to St. Clare’s home (stclareshomesc.org) in Greenville County, SC, providing shelter and loving service for expectant mothers in need.
