Brenner Scott Fleming, 51 of Charleston, South Carolina died on Monday, November 24, 2014. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. All other Services are private. Brenner was born on February 21, 1963 to Jack and Mary Alice Fleming. He was loved by many for his generous and kind heart. His passion for music was only exceeded by his love of family and friends. The saying "he would give you the shirt off of his back" describes him well. Brenner lived his entire life in Edgewater Park and knew the surrounding waterways intimately. He is survived by his mother and father, his son, Kyler Antalek of Alabama where he lives with his mother's family, his sister Christine Fleming Rogers of Charleston, his brother John Francis Fleming, Jr. (Sandy) of Round O, longtime girlfriend Marisue Billings, 7 nieces and nephews and 6 grand-nephews. Because of his love for Edgewater Park, the family has requested memorial contributions be directed to the Edgewater Park Garden Club in care of Beth Renken, 1465 South Edgewater Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
