Brendan "Bear" Mccrann

Brendan "Bear" McCrann, a loving family man, successful bond trader, and devout Catholic passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2025.

Born March 13, 1947, Brendan lived a life with high spirits and a heartfelt love for his wife of almost 50 years, Cathie.

The "Bear" was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers and the New York Giants. He was also known for his amusing golf skills; achieving a hole-in-one at both Kenmure Country Club in Flat Rock, North Carolina, and Osprey Point Golf Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. He was very proud to be an original member of the Kiawah Island Governor's Club Legends Ryder Cup; enjoying the camaraderie with his fellow Red Team.

"Bear" is survived by his best friend and spouse, Cathie; his very dear nieces Trish (Jeff), Melanie (Zach), and Jillian Watt; and his nephew Eugene (Tracie) McCrann. He will also be remembered fondly by Cathie's twin sister, Mary Moody.

A celebration of Bear's life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 6, 2025 during a Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A reception will follow the Mass at the Family Life Center. The family invites all who loved him to gather in remembrance of a "Bear" who brought joy, laughter and wisdom to all he met.
