CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 24, 2010, Glenna Jeannette "Bonnie" Bates Partin, the widow of Charles Douglas Partin. Bonnie was born in Charleston a daughter of Arthur Grant and Amelia Augusta McDonald Bates on Friday, July 21, 1950. She was a graduate of St. Andrew's High School Class of 1968, and a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. She always gave of herself through her jobs at the Commission for the Blind and as a Special Education Teacher's Assistant among them. She also freely gave her time to charitable orgizations such as the MDA and as a Majority Member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. Nothing ever kept her from spending time with the most important thing in her life, her family. Bonnie is survived by two daughters, Kelly S. Fleming and her husband, Jason, of Goose Creek and Lindsay M. Partin of Charleston; two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Nicholas and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. The family will received friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Friday afternoon from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The relatives and friends of Bonnie Partin are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:00 AM,, Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 714 Riverdale Drive.
