Bobby Wayne Vickers, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away on June 20, 2016. The relatives and friends of Mr. Bobby Wayne Vickers are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 24, 2016, at the graveside, Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Rd., Charleston SC 29412. The family will receive friends following the service at the Vickers' residence. Bobby was born on June 4, 1938 in Lenox, Georgia, to the late Benjamin Ernest and Vida Mae Godwin Vickers. Bob was a proud member of the United States Air Force and had a long career in the automobile industry. He cherished the time he spent with family and friends. Bob was an avid fisherman and fan of collegiate sports, especially the Georgia Bulldogs. He was an excellent cook and known for his fish fries and oyster roasts. He had a passion for animals and a very special bond with his pets. If you were one of Bob's dogs, you had a special status within the family. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Vickers DeMasi and her husband, Thomas William DeMasi; son-in-law, Riley Thomas Nicholson; four grandchildren, Lauren (Erik), Kristin (Derek), Blake, and Allie; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Joann Tomberlin (Bill) of McLeansboro, IL, and a brother Billy Gene Vickers (Wanda) of Carterville, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Vickers and a daughter, Bobbie Jo Nicholson.
