Mrs. Beverly McLain McKevlin, 88, of Folly Beach, the widow of Dennis J. McKevlin, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 11, 2010 while in the company of her family. Mrs. McKevlin was born in Charleston, SC on Sunday, August 28, 1921, the daughter of the late Charles L. and Ethel V. (Bennett) McLain. She attended Charleston Business College and was a Clerk for War Assets. Mrs. McKevlin also was a clerk and stenographer at Maxwell Brothers and Hall Furniture Company. She enjoyed the beach, shopping trips and playing bingo but the biggest joy in her life was her family. Mrs. McKevlin is survived by her sister, Myrtis M. Jenkins of James Island; two sons, Ted McKevlin and his wife Cheryl of Yonges Island and Tim McKevlin and his wife Rachelle of James Island; two grandsons, Jarrod McKevlin of Mt. Pleasant and Ethan McKevlin of James Island and a granddaughter, Raven McKevlin of James Island. The relatives and friends of Beverly M. McKevlin are invited to attend her Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Chapel. The Committal will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. 766-1365.
