Barry Sullivan Campbell, 64, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 11, 2018. The relatives and friends of Barry S. Campbell are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Nativity Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 8:00 PM Monday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Barry was born in Charleston on October 5,1953, a son of R. Raymond Campbell, Sr. and Lucy Sullivan Campbell. He graduated from BIshop England High School in 1972, where he was President of his Class, and attended Trident Technical College. Barry was the owner and operator of Campbell Electric Company until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #704 and Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church. Barry never met a stranger and became fast friends with everyone he met. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. He was always willing to help anyone in need and loved his family dearly. Barry loved his many nieces and nephews as though they were his own children. Barry was predeceased by his brother, Thomas M. Campbell, Sr. and beloved niece, Kim Wade Roberts. He is survived by his sisters, Betty Campbell Burkhardt and Barbara Campbell Wade (Jerry); his brothers, R. Raymond Campbell, Jr. (Maria) and J. Patrick Campbell, Sr. (Roxanne); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all.
