Barbara Bradley Glover, born on October 16, 1942, in Charleston, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026, in Adams Run, South Carolina, surrounded by love. A steadfast spirit and a lover of life, she dedicated her days to the joys of family and the care of animals. As an office manager for the Enrollment Services at the Medical University of South Carolina, Barbara balanced her professional commitments with a profound passion for nurturing those in need-especially her beloved horses and dogs.
Never one to sit still, Barbara lived her life with a vibrancy that was as expansive as the sky she soared through to earn her pilots license. A true adventurer, she embraced a variety of pursuits: kayaking the serene waterways of South Carolina, riding the motorcycle gifted to herself as a retirement present, serving as a search and rescue team member with her beloved weimeraners, as a Board member of the Greater Charleston Weimeraner Association, and sharing laughter and love with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family and friends frequently recall memorable moments filled with warmth and joy, her spirit illuminating every gathering.
Barbara is survived by her daughters, Frances Glanville, Elizabeth Glover, and Barbara (Edward) Gonsalves. She leaves behind a rich legacy in her grandchildren-Christopher (Ashley) McLauchlan, Meghan Glanville, Justin (Katelyn) Glanville, Sarah (Ashley) Driggers, Joe (Hailey) Inglett, Vivien Coleman, Laura (Carson) Jackson, William Gonsalves, and Patrick Gonsalves-as well as her cherished great-grandchildren, Joseph, Eliza Kate, Sophia and Dallas. She also found strength and companionship in her sisters, Patsy (Michael) McDaniel, Peggy (Ricky) Andrews, and Carol Lee (Gary) Brewer. She leaves behind her beloved dogs Charlie, Smokey and Max.
Barbara's laughter and kindness will resonate through the lives she touched. In honoring her memory, those who loved her will carry forward the lessons of compassion, adventure, and the importance of family she imparted so beautifully.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Frances Bradley and several beloved horses, dogs and cats.
The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. A Private Interment will take place at a later date.
