Barbara Doran Fosberry, 83, passed away in the early morning hours of June 28, 2021. She was a devoted wife of Thomas Clinton Fosberry for 64 years. Barbara was born to Thomas R. Doran and Jessie Petit Doran on August 14, 1937.
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Fosberry are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the graveside, 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Holy Cross Cemetery.
She attended Simons Elementary School and was a graduate of Bishop England High School in 1955. She was an avid shag dancer and attended many shag events with her husband, Tommy. Barbara took pride and joy in watching her grandchildren in their early years. She was, at one time, the Charleston Women’s Bowling Association Singles Champion.
Barbara’s work career included her positions at C & S Bank and with oral surgeon Richard Brock. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, a lifetime member of Charleston Rifle Club Auxiliary and a former member of the Islander Shag Club.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Janice F. Passarello (John); daughter-in-law, Raquel R. Fosberry; grandson, Mathew Passarello; granddaughter, Amber P. Dangerfield (Clinton) and her pride and joy great-grandson, Wolfgang Clinton Dangerfield.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; son, Thomas C. Fosberry, Jr.; brother, Thomas R. Doran, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Eugene Fosberry.
