Charleston - On August 9, 2990, we all lost a kind and generous friend, a loving son, a protective brother, and a wonderful uncle. Avram was a kind soul. His love was helping others and caring for his pets. Throughout his short 45 years, Avram devoted his life to nurturing his friends. He showered them with his love and strengthened them with his wisdom and support. His active involvement in their day to day lives will be missed. Avram was gifted with great strength of character, a bright and active intellect, and a great capacity for compassion. Avram is survived by his parents: Marlene Addlestone Bursten and husband Larry; Father, Avram Kronsberg; stepmother, Jane Ries; and predeceased by his friend and stepfather, Nathan Addlestone.; brothers, Edward and his wife Amy, and Robert Tilghman and his wife Grace; stepsisters, Susan Addlestone Berlijn and her husband Nico, and Carole Addlestone; stepbrother, Andy Bursten and his wife Vicki and stepsister, Susie Litman and her husband Joel; niece, Fury Lynn and nephews, Elliot, Zachary, and William; step nephews, Jeremy Levkoff and his wife Kate, and Joshua Levkoff; great nephew, Wylder Levkoff; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was a friend of Bill. Funeral Services will be held at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy., Charleston, SC at 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2009. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
