She graduated fromMemmingerHigh School andwas an activemember of New Heart Gatheringuntil her health prevented her from attending. Neenee, as she was known to her family and friends, was a wonderful cook and hostess. Her house was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay or needed a good home cooked meal. As she told so many, there was always room for one more at her table. She was the happiest when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Ernest L.Rourk, her son, Edward T.Rourk, herbrother, Dr. Edward E.Towell, and her sister, Fatima T. Stiles. She is also survived by her devoted caregivers Martha Goss and JanieFludd. The relatives and friends of Anela Towell Rourk are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, July 16, 2012 at the funeral home.
