Alexandra Maria Honan

Alexandra Maria (Bagg) Honan was born on April 9, 1938 to Helen (Orzechowski) and Quincy Bagg of South Hadley, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and the University of Massachusetts. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a dedicated teacher in Virginia, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and South Carolina until her retirement in 2014. She was an avid reader who loved watching movies and spending many hours enjoying her six grandchildren. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 54 years, Thomas F Honan III, her children and grandchildren: Thomas (Melinda), Thomas, Daniel and Stephen of Charleston, SC, Joseph (Shanna), Caroline and Charles of Chesapeake, VA, and Stephanie (Deron), and Isabel Benton of Chesapeake, VA. She will also be dearly missed by her brother-in-law, Rev. Eugene Honan of Middlefield, MA, and loving cousins, Nancy Bergeron of Sunderland, VT and Joanne Adams of South Hadley, MA. All services will take place in Massachusetts, handled by Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home in Holyoke. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Reading is Fundamental, Half the Sky, or the American Stroke Association in her name. Local arrangements by James A.
