Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 19, 2010, CWO 4, Albert Lutrario, USN (Ret) husband of Jeronima Heredia Lutrario. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lutrario are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Cranston, RI. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 PM this Tuesday afternoon and the family will receive friends until 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Mr. Lutrario was born on Tuesday, August 3, 1926, in Providence, RI, a son of Alfred and Maria Moroco Lutrario. Albert served 33 year in the US Navy, serving in World War II, Korea, & Vietnam. Albert was very proud of his military career, earning many citations including the Navy Achievement Medal. After retiring, he went back to work for the City of Charleston Recreational Department and then the Charleston County School District. Albert enjoyed many hobbies during his earlier years, including bowling, woodworking, & gardening. He even took up computers at the age of 70. However, in later years his favorite pastime was spending time with his four grandchildren. A trip to Best Buy with the four grandchildren was quite the event! Albert was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Albert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jeronima Heredia Lutrario of Cartagena, Spain, his daughter, Mary Lutrario Smith of John's Island, SC & her husband Todd, four grandchildren, Elena Victoria Smith, William Joseph Anthony Smith, Phillip Livio Smith & Michael Andrew Sebastian Smith; his brother, Richard Lutrario and his wife, Joan, of Warwick, RI as well as two nephews, a niece and several great nephews & nieces. He was predeceased by his two beloved sons, Albert Anthony Joseph Lutrario & Alfred Sebastian Lutrario.
