Charleston, SC - Albert R. "Buzz" Kastner, 80, husband of Mary Frances Inabnett Kastner, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 8, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Albert R. Kastner are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 89 Hasell Street, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard in Hollywood. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Monday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. The Rosary will be recited at 6:45 PM. A native of Charleston, Buzz was a son of the late Olive Jarboe and William Benedict Kastner. A graduate of Bishop England High School, he served in various field and management positions with BellSouth in a career that spanned 40 years. Buzz was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed traveling and volunteering with St. Mary's Catholic Church and other organizations. He was also a member of the AT&T Pioneers and was formerly an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Kastner is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Frances Kastner, his two children, Karen Kastner and Carl Kastner (Courtney); his two grandchildren, Coleman and Raymond Kastner; and his brother, Col. William H. Kastner (Betty). In addition to his parents, Buzz was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary H. Kastner.
