AGNES C. McLOUGHLIN Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, Agnes Marie Comar McLoughlin, wife of Thomas Joseph McLoughlin, of Greenwood, SC formerly of Mt. Pleasant. Agnes was born in Charleston, a daughter of the late John Bernard and Agnes Gertrude Graff Comar on Wednesday, July 29, 1925. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School's class of 1943 and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Agnes had a zest for life and never met a stranger. In her younger days she enjoyed sailing, bowling and loved dancing, especially at the Old Island Club on Sullivan's Island. Other hobbies included gardening, cooking and baking. She was a cross word puzzle enthusiast, a faithful Jeopardy home contestant and true Duke Blue Devil basketball fan. She was predeceased by a brother, John B. Comar, Jr. and a sister, Frances C. Hartnet and is survived by her husband, Thomas J. McLoughlin; three daughters, Brenda M. Guilherme and her husband, Robert; Maureen M. Taylor and her husband, Paul; Kathleen M. Kuhn and her husband, James; five grandchildren, John Thomas Taylor, Erin Colleen Taylor, Justin Elijah Taylor, Daniel Kellen Morgan, Julia Marie Kuhn and one niece, Alberta Hartnet Busch. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. McLoughlin are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Monday, May 3, 2010, at Christ Our King Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. The Rite of Committal will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Parish Life Center Building Fund, 915 Mathis Rd., Greenwood, SC 29649-1634 or to a charity of one's choice.
